Giving Tree Early Learning

Giving Tree Early Learning is the Early Childhood program at Hasten Hebrew Academy (HHAI), offering a Jewish Reggio-inspired education for children ages 12 months through Pre-K. Located on the HHAI campus, we are open to the public Monday through Friday and accept On My Way Pre-K and CCDF vouchers. Our curriculum and unique classroom environments inspire wonder and curiosity in every child.

Mission

The mission of Giving Tree Early Learning is to nurture each child through their unique learning style, sense of self and authentic play-based learning opportunities.  As stewards of the future leaders of tomorrow, we seek to foster lifelong connections within the greater community.

Our Reggio inspired program excites wonder and curiosity in every child creating the confidence and critical thinking skills needed to excel in the 21st century. Together we promote the social emotional development of our children while providing hands-on instruction to instill a strong sense of community, culture, tradition and understanding of our diverse Jewish community.

Our team approach to the education of young minds includes caregivers, educators, learning environments and the children themselves. Each participant is respected and valued, working collaboratively to support the next generation of learners. As we say- L’dor v’dor, from generation to generation.

Philosophy

Our program philosophy is rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach centering around our image of the child, classroom environments and collaboration between child, parent and staff. We believe that every child has a right to high quality education and that each child is a unique individual capable of forming their own knowledge. As facilitators of learning, it is our job to provide invitations and provocations to support your child's natural abilities to learn and discover. We incorporate the Indiana Early Learning Foundation Standards and developmentally appropriate practice into our Reggio inspired instruction. We believe that children succeed when given the opportunity to formulate their own answers through play and dialogue with their peers, family and educators. Our approach to education partners real-world experiences with aesthetics, intention and self expression to support your child's growth in mind, body and soul.
