This is my tenth year teaching math at HHAI. This is my 1st year as assistant principal. I oversee testing for HHAI with the Indiana Department of Education, network with local private schools, and this year I will be helping initiate changes in our report cards and grading. I just spent a great summer enjoying teaching at my wife's studio, A Space to Create. I also worked with a corporation 3dParts to run two 3d printing camps at HHAI. During past summers I have worked on a grant from Eli Lilly to Build a Boat, taught at the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University, and The Gifted Education Research Institute at Purdue University.
My undergraduate work was in Greencastle, Indiana at DePauw University. I was a professional photographer for several years before I completed my Masters Degree in Curriculumn and Instruction at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. My first ten years of teaching where at Nichols Middle School in Evanston, Illinois just North of Chicago. Currently I have completed my graduate work in education with an emphasis on school leadership through Indiana Wesleyan University.
I live in Zionsville with my wife Jenny, our children Sam and Grace, a border collie Emma, Lucy the bunny, and a random assortment of fish. BOTH my children are high school students this year, how did that happen so fast!
