Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis (HHAI): A Legacy of Education and Identity

Founded in 1971 by Mark and Hart Hasten, alongside other passionate community members, HHAI was established with a belief in the transformative power of day school education. Drawing inspiration from larger Jewish communities, they envisioned HHAI as a place where children would grow with a deep sense of Jewish identity—strengthening both the local community and the Jewish people worldwide.
