My main goal is to teach uor students to comonicate in Hebrew . We believe that each one of us is unique and when we are all together united we will succeed and acheave all our goals easly.
This year we will continue studding the book of Numbers . Each Chumash lesson we will learn new Psukim (verses). The students are required to review these Psukim so that they become familiar with them and make sure that the students understand the basic story line. On occasion, we may add some Rashi or Midrash explanation to the basic text in order to gain a better understanding of the material.
they are getting to know the prophets. We will begin with Sefer Yehoshua, The book of Joshua. Joshua assumed leadership of the Jewish nation after the death of Moses. We will go along with the Jewish nation as they inherit the land of Israel.
Most of the children like the Chagim studies more than the others, they enjoy learning about each and every holiday, we Discuss the many different aspects of our Jewish holidays. We talk about the rules and the customs of each holiday. While we study, papers will be put in the binders and before each holiday A booklet will be sent home containing all the worksheets and art work.
IVRIT (HEBREW LANGUAGE)
The main goal of the Hebrew lessons is that your child will be able to communicate by using this language. We will achieve this goal by talking Hebrew as much as we can. We also will encourage your child to read stories in Hebrew; we have a Hebrew library inside our classroom. And we will have a reading comprehension passages. We will practice listening comprehension during the Ivrit lessons. Every pupil will have to express himself by answering writing assignments.
All work including tests and home-work will be sent home in a student planer. Please check your child's folder and sign it so that we may keep the lines of communication open.
