HHAI LIBRARY

Mrs. Sheila Sims, Librarian

The HHAI Library provides materials and instruction that encourages our students to develop lifelong literacy skills and attitudes. The library program supports and complements the school's secular and Judaic curriculum. Our early childhood and elementary students visit the library once a week to hear a story, learn reference and lliteracy skills and check out books. Middle school students visit the library individually or as a class for book selection, lessons and research.

NEWS from the Library  - Birthday Book Program - Students who contribute to our Birthday Book Program may choose a book from the library's supply of new, uncirculated books. A dedication plate honoring the student's birthday and donation is placed in the book. The book is presented to the student and he/she is the first to check it out. This is an important fund raiser for our library and a wonderful way to honor a child on his/her special day. Books may also be dedicated for special occasions such as bar/bat mitzvahs or as memorials.
